How to Measure your Harp
With the Cover On

You will need 3 pieces of white paper, 2 of which will be larger than the harp. The third will be used for outlining the base of the instrument. Then please follow these instructions carefully.

If you have any problems outlining the harp, I suggest you contact someone who would be skilled in this task, or feel free to ring me at +353-1-8377191

IMPORTANT:
WHEN MEASURING, MAKE SURE TO LAY THE HARP ON A HARD FLAT SURFACE.

Photo 1: Lie the harp on its sound box as photographed. Using square cardboard, transfer the outline of the foot vertically down on to the paper as photographed, and mark with black pen

Photo 2: Again, transfer edge of sound box shape vertically down on to the paper, and mark with black pen as in photo, and continue this process along the edge of sound box, marking outline squarely down on to the paper

Photo 3: Using the cardboard again, transfer the start of the harmonic curve down on to the paper as photographed

Photo 4: Continue marking the cover shape directly on to the paper as photographed.

Photo 5: Continue this process starting from the base as shown.

Photo 6: As in photo 1, transfer the cover shape down on to the paper and mark with black pen.

Photo 7: On a seperate sheet of paper, lie the harp on its side so that the harmonic curve is ready to be marked down on to the paper, as photographed. Continue the process of squarely marking down the shape all the way around to the top of the harmonic curve

You should now have 2 sheets of paper with outlines, as above.
